Head of Finance Duties

Partnering with the Senior Leadership Team, as the Head of Finance, your key responsibilities will include:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance team, whilst managing a team of two finance staff
Financial planning and analysis
Annual budgeting and financial reporting
Oversee the production of monthly management accounts and preparation of annual accounts
Contribute to maximising the fundraising income and assisting with financial grant applications
Oversee key control accounts including debtors, creditors, payroll and HMRC accounts
Collaborate, design, and implement finance systems, policies and procedures
Head of Finance Experience

To be successful in this position, you must be an experienced and qualified ACCA/ACA/CIMA professional Finance Manager / Head of Finance and have demonstrable experience and knowledge across a wide range of finance disciplines including financial reporting, management accounting and payroll. Experience of fundraising would be highly beneficial, alongside exposure to working previously within a charity environment. A strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50 is highly essential for this position. Alongside this, you will be a commercially minded individual who has strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with previous experience of managing staff. A resourceful and proactive team leader, you will be a supportive, personable and professional individual who will play a vital role within the organisation.

Head of Finance Location

This is a hybrid position, with at least one day per week in the office in Oxford (OX2). This could either be a full time or part time position (30-37 hours spread across 5 days per week).
