Job Description
Eclectic Recruitment are currently looking for a Financial Planner and Analyst to join an exciting company in Cambridge. This will initially be a temporary position with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

As a member of the FP&A team you will be responsible for building and maintaining financial models that are easy to use. Data gathering, processing, analysing and presenting for decision making. As well as systems maintenance to support financial processes.

Job Duties:

* Build, maintain and improve financial models to plan, measure and forecast the business. The models should be easy to audit and can be easily used by others.

* Interpret financial modelling to answer business questions.

* Liaise with Finance Business Partners and/or key non-finance stakeholders to gather inputs for financial models (including budgeting and forecasting models).

* Analyse monthly financial performance and conduct root cause variance analyses versus budget and previous periods.

* Prepare monthly reporting packs, including commentary on performance.

* Maintain the FP&A financial systems and processes that feed into budgeting and reporting.

* Support the Finance Leadership and company by taking on other roles and responsibilities as appropriate

About you:

* Relevant financial or accounting qualification required (e.g. CFA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA).

* Commercially aware, understanding and anticipating the needs of both operations and management.

* Strong modelling and financial analysis skills

* Experience in interpreting data, ordering and assessing its value and then presenting the findings to the relevant stakeholders in a clear and concise way.

* Ability to draw on ‘big’ and ‘small’ data, selecting the appropriate tools to manipulate, analyse and interpret it in a sophisticated, audience-appropriate way.

* Able to effectively use both written and verbal communications to explain complex financial issues to non-finance audiences.

* Experience of any of Adaptive Insights, PowerBI, SalesForce, Sage/Oracle Financials is desirable.
