Job Description
Job Title: Credit Controller

Location: Beckton, East London

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 p/a depending on experience

Job type: Full time, permanent

Established in the early 1970's as a family run concern which specialised in hiring Compressors and Air Tools to construction and utility companies. Today we now supply a wide range of non-mechanical plant, lifting equipment and safety equipment to a diverse customer base throughout the UK.

The Role:

Supervise & support team of sales ledger staff
Oversee the day to day running of the sales ledger office
Review & open new customer credit accounts and setting an appropriate credit limit
Authorise orders for companies who are over credit limit
Continuously review current credit accounts – altering credit limits if necessary
Monthly debtor's reports
Administration/liquidation account stop and advising depot to collect plant
Monitor particular credit accounts of concernDuties and responsibilities:

Regular reporting on credit accounts via aged debtors, credit agencies & accounts over their credit limit
Regular credit checks and review of accounts requested by sales ledger staff
Maintain, chase for payment and assist in approval of invoices for own ledger of aged debt customers
Request payment from customers who have overdue accounts and record replies on manual ledger
Send out pre-legal / overdue emails and letters to customers that have exceeded payment terms
Prepare documentation and collate a history of pre-legal communications for legal folder
Writing off refunds/ late payment fees from accountsBenefits:
