Job Description
Commercial Project Manager required for our illustrious financial services client. Based in Glasgow and reporting to ‘Head of’, you will be accountable for maximizing value from external suppliers, ensuring appropriate cost controls and operational processes are in place. The team oversees the most complex commercial and legal matters for the global business and covers all commercial negotiations and milestone tracking and you’ll interact with stakeholders from professional services firms, Finance, Technology and Transformation teams as well as Lawyers.
This role is all about…
* Working in a team of 6, you’ll be accountable for a portfolio of matters from both cost and milestone perspective
* Leading all internal matter engagements with General Counsels, matter leads and infrastructure support teams (Finance and Procurement)
* Presenting portfolio reports at financial accountability meetings, outlooks reviews and other reporting discussions and providing tendering support
* Driving technology change, particularly in relation to ‘Instruct to Pay’ processes, enabling vendors to start work quicker and submit invoices
* Ensuring close collaboration with the other areas in the External Engagement team to successfully deploy team wide objectives. E.g. panel refresh (renewing commercial contracts with professional services firms)
* Working actively with law firm partners to continue to drive collaboration and efficiency in the sector
About you…
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded Project Manager, PMO, Change lead or Finance Business Partner (Cost side) from the private sector. Experience of working in the Financial Services or Professional Services (e.g Legal, Accountancy practice) sectors is advantageous, but not essential. The role requires…
