Job Description
Our client, a highly sought-after FTSE 250 business, with a stellar reputation for progression and talent planning, is looking to source a bright and ambitious Commercial Finance Analyst to join in this rare non-BAU role with lots of exposure to the Senior Leadership Team.

Working as part of the Trading Finance Team, you'll work cross-functionally with the business to support in setting the annual corporate sales plan, the total sales budget, as well as the reporting and analysis of performance to the Board.

Main duties include:
* Supporting setting corporate sales budget, which involves partnering with the Finance Managers and Supply Chain, modelling of various scenarios of sales growth and communicating targets to the Trading Team
* Reporting and analysis of sales performance to the Leadership Team, including in depth and ad hoc analysis
* Preparing of base data and schedules supporting quarterly trading statements; working with investor relations team to provide detailed analysis of the key drivers to performance
* External reporting of total company sales
* Analysis and reporting of total company inflation/deflation
* Analysis and reporting of customer data and analysing and understanding the drivers behind any movements
* Reporting and analysis of all adjustments to sales for financial reporting
* Period sales and inflation data with commentary for management accounts
* Working alongside Customer Insights to understand the trends in market share data
* Monitoring competitive performance and providing regular comparisons of performance against peers

Key skills & experience required:
* Studying towards ACCA/CIMA or newly qualified (salary will be dependent on level of qualification)
* Strong excel and numerical skills, with an aptitude for turning data into analysis and insight
* Commercially astute, with an aptitude for driving performance
* Effective communicator and can build relationships with a range of stakeholders
* Self-motivated team player, with strong problem solving abilities
* Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
* Confident and credible character
