The Recruitment Co are thrilled to be working with a growing business in Gateshead with their recruitment for an Accounts Assistant. This is a great opportunity to work as part of a small and friendly team in a business with a great culture. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Undertake regular inputting of all invoices to the Company's SAGE financial system to include matching invoices to existing purchase orders.
Prepare payments for sub-contractors via either BACS or cheque in readiness for final
approval.
Respond to direct telephone enquiries from sub-contractors / suppliers relating to payments made, due or outstanding.
Reconcile statements from suppliers to ensure that outstanding payments can be identified and any necessary action taken.
Processing of payroll (weekly) through time-sheet allocation analysis
Monthly expenses interrogation, review and processing

The ideal candidate:

Provide purchase ledger and payroll support to businesses
Demonstrate fantastic organisational skills
Be able to manage your own time and meet targets and deadlines
Have the ability to work well as part of a team
Excellent verbal communication skills are essential as you will need to develop strong relationships with all levels of the business from site teams to external sub-contractors.
