Spencer Clarke Group are working alongside the fastest growing accountancy firm in Sussex, now looking to appoint a talented Client Manager on a full-time permanent basis. 

As Client Manager, you’ll play a vital role in all areas of client care, developing the team as well as the business. There is incredible scope for progression in the firm with a dedicated team.

The ideal candidate will be hungry for progression and hold the experience needed to develop a team. You will demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to a range of levels, in addition to being self-motivated and able to work independently on own initiative.

About the role

Based in Horsham, you will be tasked with (but not limited to)

Managing a varied portfolio of clients
Preparing (but mainly reviewing) year-end accounts, management accounts and VAT returns
Reviewing corporate and personal tax returns
Compiling and presenting reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries, and financial statements
Analysing accounts and business plans
Financial forecasting and risk analysis
Sharing knowledge and investing in the development of junior members
Assisting with on the job training of junior members of staff and identifying and acting on areas in need of improvement or further development.
Managing teams to deliver all services
Co-ordinating and reviewing the work of Assistant Managers and Trainee Accountants
Business networking and development
About you

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

ACA/ACCA qualification
Strong knowledge of accounting for SMEs including corporate tax, VAT, PAYE and personal tax
Previous experience of supervising junior members of staff
