Job Description
Assistant Management Accountant | £25-30,000 DOE | Logistics

I am partenring with a logistics company who are looking to bring on an Assistant Management Accountant to support the Finance Manager and be a Business Partner for the Senior Management Team and Operational stakeholders.

Day to Day; 

Assist preparation for management accounts and liaise with senior management
Analysis of operational performance – including commentry
Assist with budgets and forecasts
Completing balance sheet reconciliations
Comparison analysis on monthly MI reporting
Appling of accruals and prepayments
Small aspect of purchase/sales ledger
Assist in month-end reporting activities
Support internal audits
Involvement in projects and continuous improvement in finance and controlling finances
Other ad hoc duties as is required in a hands-on varied role
Skills:

AAT qualfiied, or studying towards CIMA/ACCA
At least 3 years' experience or Graduate with Accountancy/Finance degree.
Able to deputise for the Finance Manager – take ownership of the management accounts when needed
IT skills – Xero, Advanced Excel -including pivot tables, and complex formulae.
Good attention to detail required
Ability to work as a team member, and be a key team player
Great communications skills to rely key information to other staff
