Job Description
Sue Ross Recruitment are working on behalf of a leading public service provider, to work within the Community Service division of the company enabling people who have a disability or health condition to live independently ensuring they have the access to the money they are entitled to and to help them control their own care. This can include support from accessing benefits and direct payments to managing personal health budgets and contingency planning.

Sitting within our Central Finance team our Managed Accounts Team process, validate and pay invoices on behalf of service users. The Accounts Payable Assistant will be a key role within the team ensuring that accurate payments are made within defined timescales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Processing of Supplier Invoices including matching to approved Purchase Orders

* Working with operational teams to address invoices received without matching Purchase Order

* Ensure accounts with insufficient funds for invoice payment are identified and escalated

* Ensuring the timely resolutions to supplier queries

* Support in collation of weekly supplier payment runs

* Support to the Accounts Payable Manager

The ideal candidate should posses;

* Excellent Excel skills

* High level numeracy skills

* Good organisational skills

* Good attention to details skills

* Competent and confident computer system user

* Experience of working within an accounts payable environment
