Job Description
Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working alongside a successful manufacturing business, within Sheffield, as they look to recruit an Accounts Accountant into their team; initially on a 15 month fixed term contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and self-motivated Accounts professional to join a well established team with. Although only for an initial 15 months, this is the perfect opportunity if you're looking to start or take the next step in your accounting and finance career.

As an Accounts Assistant, your role is to ensure the business meet their internal and external financial responsibilities.

Duties & Responsibilities of the Trainee Assistant Accountant will include:

*Post and reconcile cashbook transactions
*Code nominal ledger purchase and sales invoices
*Provide cover for purchase ledger/ payroll and sales ledger accounts staff
*Collect and collate information from metals invoices for reporting purposes
*Run weekly overdues reports in conjunction with finance staff
*Action inventory change requests
*Maintain sales and purchase ledger accounts
*Maintain weekly accounting and KPI reports
*Any other tasks as deemed necessary by the finance manager
*Prepare and post prepayments and accruals
*Reconcile and action intercompany purchase and sales ledger accounts
*Setup new suppliers on the system
*Assistance with budgeting process
*Reporting on debtors and creditors

To be successful, you'll need to be able to demonstrate:

*Strong IT skills able to run, manipulate and calculate spreadsheets
*You will ideally have completed the AAT qualification, with a desire to progress
your studies further
*Must be a team player and possess high levels of integrity
*Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and flexible with respect to
working hours
*Committed to a continuous improvement philosophy
*Self-starter and action-oriented
*Willing to challenge norms and suggest new ideas
