Sales Ledger Clerk

Hours: 39 hours per week. Monday – Thursday 08:00-16:30 and Friday 07:30 – 15:00

The company is currently recruiting for multiple roles to accommodate for their growth plan, including the position of a Sales Ledger Clerk, seeking an individual experienced in Finance to maintain the high standards already present within the company.

Aim of the role:

Due to our recent acquisition, we are seeking a Sales Ledger Clerk to join our Finance Department. This role will be involved with all aspects of Accounts Receivable.

Key Duties/responsibilities:

–        Creation of Daily Customer invoices (including entering Export Data where appropriate)

–        Creation of stock/non stock credits upon authorised request.

–        Running of AR inbox and prioritising work accordingly

–        Ensuring customer queries are dealt with including obtaining POD’s etc where necessary

–        Production of monthly customer statements

–        Building up customer relations to ensure good customer service

–        Debt Chasing both by e-mail and telephone

–        Running of Aged Debtor reports to ensure clean month-end accounts

–        Cash allocation from Bank statements

–        System administration such as keeping records up to date

–        Work with Team Members and other colleagues to meet targets

Ad hoc:

–        General office duties such as answering the telephone, scanning & filing

–        Holiday/absence cover

Skills / Experience:

–        Timely and accurate processing sales invoices

–        Effective communication to resolve queries

–        Efficient processing and filling of documents

–        Ability to prioritise and plan effectively to meet deadlines

–        Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups and formulae)

–        Experience working with Microsoft Dynamic Business Central would be highly advantageous but not essential as training will be provided

–        An eye for attention to detail

Communication:

–        Excellent communication and organisational skills

–        Able to communicate at all levels (internal and external)

–        Able to establish productive relationships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers

–        Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude;

–        Must be able to work on their own initiative and also be a team player
