Job Description
Sales Ledger Clerk
Location: Cheltenham
Contract Type: Permanent
Required Salary: up to £24,000
The Company
My client is leader in the building industry.
JOB SUMMARY
* Daily processing of customer account payments
* Dealing with customer queries/payments and any other issues on a daily basis by Email, telephone or letter
* Processing credits to customer accounts – Returns, Overcharges etc.
* Producing copy Invoices, delivery/collect tickets when requested
* Processing and opening New Credit/Cash accounts
* Month End process – Sending Invoices, Statements and Letters,
* Weekly/daily processing Invoices from advise notes
* Credit stop day – Putting accounts on stop for non-payment
* Liaising with Sales Managers and Internal staff to resolve any customer account issues
* Converting quotes from the sales teams and setting prices up on the customer accounts
* Daily collection of paperwork from trading departments & transport
* General housekeeping of accounts – Correct Addresses, email addresses & Telephone Numbers
Other Duties include:
* Collection and distribution of post
* Tasks as requested by senior management
* General administration
* Reception cover for holidays/sickness
The above list is not exhaustive and other tasks may be allocated as part of continued improvements to the department
