Job Description
My client offers legal analysis in addition to the generic royalty audit process. The company is unique in that the royalty audit process involves a high level legal review of the commercial agreements in addition to the financial audit process. Lawyers and auditors work alongside each other to deliver a truly audit service.
They believe in preserving the integrity of the commercial relationship between licensors and licensees and their audit process is structured in such a way to enable them to deliver some value to the licensee whilst achieving the objective of their client.
The role itself
* Candidate will lead audits in UK Europe, Middle East and Africa for clients such as BBCW and Nickelodeon.
* Primary duties will be to cover audits in EMEA territories.
* Candidate will be expected to lead audits independently reporting in to the Managing Partner.
* Candidate will be expected to adhere to company process and execute audit services accordingly.
* Candidate will be required to manage an independent audit planner.
Candidates will be required to liaise directly with licensees to arrange an audit date, send out an information request and diarise a settlement meeting. The candidate will work with legal to summarise the commercial agreements and will then independently carry out the on-site audits. Once the audit is complete the auditor will have a review meeting with the licensee to report findings, and then prepare a report for the licensor. Candidates will have a review meeting with the licensor to discuss findings and to agree a strategy for settlement negotiations. Candidates may also be required to assist licensor in settlement negotiations and provide commercial advice to the licensor re issues emanating from the audit process and to ensure that a high level of findings are recouped.

They require an individual with the highest level and quality of audit work experience and can carry out audits independently throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa without supervision.
The location of where the candidate lives is not important but please be aware that there will be a lot of travel abroad involved in this role
