Job Title: Reinsurance and Reporting Analyst
Location: Reigate – hybrid – 40% office based
Full time – 35 hours

Role Responsibilities
This position provides key support for the collation, analysis and submission of the reinsurance and reporting data to key stakeholders and our reinsurance partners. The role will also be responsible for providing accurate mortality information to supplement this information. The role will support the Senior Data & Reinsurance Analyst with data and strategic development activities undertaken to ensure constant evolution of the DB Solutions areas and our growth ambitions. There will be an element of the role that will be continually focused on improving process and delivering scalable solutions to the DB Operational Service team.

Examples of Key Activities

Ensure that monthly and annual reinsurance data is processed, assessed and collated for onward distribution both internally and to our Reinsurance Partners in accordance with Treaty timeframes, maintaining the monthly workflow.

Validating the accuracy of the true up data against the Operational monthly reporting.

Provide, gather and assess mortality data as required.

Complete all monthly reporting activities accurately and in line with agreed submission timeframes.

Ensure understanding of all reinsurance treaties sharing knowledge with relevant teams in DB as necessary.

Capture and collate MI as required by the Implementation Services Team.

Produce and deliver monthly reinsurance reporting.

Support with the completion of all reinsurance work.

Support with the completion of month end deliverables to all internal stakeholders.

Support delivery of accurate mortality data to key stakeholders.

Deal with ad-hoc data requirements and requests in relation to Ops.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience of working for a DB Pensions De Risking company.
Ability in using excel to manage and manipulate large data sets, using both excel functions and VBA.

Good technical understanding of DB Pensions; its legislation, taxation and regulatory framework

Experience of working alongside or for a TPA administering DB Pensions or BPA products.

Good understanding of DB de risking administration requirements and how they differ from standard pensions administration.

Ability to manage workloads and prioritise a number of different tasks based on business volumes and priorities.

Customer service focused.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate information across different media (e.g. in person, telephone, letter, email).

Clear focus on quality, service and results.

Flexible approach with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast moving environment.

Good Microsoft office skills particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.

Experience in using coding languages to assist with large scale data analysis – for example, VBA, Python, Julia would be beneficial.

Track record of experience working in the Pensions Industry.
