Job Description
Brook Street are working with a trusted and well-established independent accountancy practice based in Glasgow, who due to growth are now looking for an Accounts Assistant/Part Qualified Accountant with practice experience.

Duties and responsibilities
o Preparation of financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
o Checking and reconciling bank accounts, debtors / creditors control accounts and VAT accounts.
o VAT returns.
o Assisting with the preparation of management accounts for limited companies and unincorporated businesses.
o Filing of annual returns.
o Preparation and calculation of tax returns.
o Bookkeeping work required in the preparation of accounts and to assist clients from time to time.

Skills and Experience
o Experience obtained within an accountancy practice
o Excellent technical accountancy skills
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o Experience with accountancy software (Sage & Iris) including Cloud packages
o It would be desirable for the candidate to have knowledge of Iris, Sage and Xero.
