Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their busy and growing team.
Duties include:
Inputting of starters, leavers, transfers and salary updates
Importing of monthly timesheets
Updating of employee's personnel information
Distributing hotels P45's
Raising manual payments of employee wages or advances
Ensuring accurate payroll records are always maintained
Processing HMRC, Department of working Pension, Council and Child Maintenance deduction of earnings orders
Dealing with all statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SAP, SPP, and SHPL)
Producing and preparing monthly court order payments for the Treasury Department to pay over
Dealing with HMRC PAYE & NI enquires and other ad-hoc third-party enquiries.
Dealing with all payroll enquires via the Payroll Helpdesk, telephone and in person
Maintaining close working relationship with team members, hotel General Managers and HR
Producing of management information reports
You will have:
Previous payroll experience
Strong up to date knowledge of current HMRC and Payroll legislation
Advanced Excel Skills
Demonstrate analytical skills, detail orientation
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Proven experience in the payroll sector
An understanding of current payroll legislation and statutory requirements
Willing to take on new challenges and learn new skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Good communication and interpersonal relationships skills
