Job Description
Part-time Credit Controller | £22,000 – £25,000 | Wigan | 12-month FTC | Part-time/flexible hours

Axon Moore are proudly working alongside a key client, based in Wigan, as they look to recruit a part-time Credit Controller to join their dynamic team on a 12-month fixed-term-contract as cover for maternity leave. This role will be well suited to candidates who are looking for office-based, part-time employment and willing and able to learn.  

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Preparation and processing of invoices
Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors
Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers’ credit rankings with banks
Setting up of terms and conditions of credit
Ensuring timely payment of debts
Following up payments as needed
Negotiating re-payment plans
Responding to relevant client enquiries
Processing and reconciliation of invoices
Checking and posting of receipts to accounting systems
Required Skills and Experience:

Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
Team player who is able to quickly establish relationships
An ability to meet deadlines and deliver work in a fast paced finance environment
Open minded to flexible ways of working and able to adapt to new processes and procedures.
Good IT skills required
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Able to effectively work with clients to ensure bills are paid on time, and any queries resolved
Able to handle stress and pressure and remain calm, when dealing with difficult situations
Please note, this is part-time role requires approximately 21 hours per week. However, working arrangements are negotiable, accommodating and flexible.
