Job Description
Managing Quantity Surveyor – Structural Steelwork & Architectural Metalwork
£65,000 – £85,000
Greenford, London
An experienced Quantity Surveyor is required for an established structural steelwork & architectural metalwork company that manufacture and erect projects across the United Kingdom.
Responsibility & Duties
* Commercially manage selected projects, protecting the business contractually whilst seeking opportunities to maximise profit and reduce cost, ensuring the commercial targets are achieved including project and programme cost, quality, and time.
* Produce concise, accurate, and timely commercial reports to the Managing Director advising the key issues on the Project(s). Including cash flow and cost and value reporting.
* Assist in the development of company procedures.
* Manage the efficient closure of all matters including but not limited to – final accounts, completion / sectional completion certificates, retention recovery, and commercial disputes.
* Negotiate new projects and contract terms with new clients.
* Comply with Company policies & procedures
* Regular coordination with site teams to ensure all relevant site information is collected/collated.
* Prepare weekly/monthly applications.
Knowledge and Experience
The ideal candidate will have previous quantity surveying experience (minimum 5 years), within a metal works background along with the following;
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships
* Excellent IT and Computer Skills including Microsoft Office
* Good professional telephone skills.
* High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
* Ability to work under your own initiative.
* Well organised with excellent time management.
* Ability to work on a variety of projects simultaneously.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
* Experience in Dispute resolution.

* Office based full time (Greenford)
* Reporting directly to the MD and FD
* Applicants must legally be allowed to work in the UK
