Management Accountant

Shrewsbury

Up to £40,000 – Office based role, 40 hrs per week and 20 days holiday rising to 25.

Seymour John are recruiting on behalf of a growing and diverse sales and distribution company with sites across Shropshire and the UK. The company turnover is in excess of £80m with the wider group turnover over £100m.

This is an exciting opportunity for a management accountant who will be reliable and work well within a small and friendly team. This role will add value through the individual’s capability to collaborate relevant financial and non-financial information to aid in management decision making.

The post holder will assist the financial controller to deliver the budget process, prepare the management accounts, assist with the year end audit and provide high quality information. You will have an analytical mind, be a well-developed communicator and self-motivated.

DUTES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Month / year end process ownership

* Management accounts preparation

* Fixed Asset and HP maintenance

* Balance sheet reconciliations

* VAT Return

* Asset Financing

* Ad hoc reporting and analysis

* Assisting with budget preparation

* Preparation for year-end audits

* P11D's

You will be an experienced accountant with experience in a similar role and maybe studying /part qualified CIMA or other equivalent with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will have an ability to business partner with non-finance key stakeholders and a high level of proficiency in Excel is a requirement to be successful in this role.
