Job Description
As Management Accountant you will ensure the timely and accurate production of management accounts, to provide insightful management information. You will maintain tight control over the balance sheet, ensuring monthly reconciliations are completed. The role can be worked as a hybrid role, once satisfactory induction/training is completed. The role is suitable for a current studier or fully qualified individual (ACCA / CIMA / ACA).

The role will report to the Finance Operations Manager and manage a small team and typically your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

* Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts in accordance with the agreed timetable to include revenue, operating and capital expenditure.

* Maintain the Fixed asset registers and ensure reconciled to the management accounts on a monthly basis.

* Assist in preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for review by the Finance Operations Manager.

* Assist in the monthly review of the financial performance to ensure the accounts are complete and accurate.

* Responsible for operational cash forecasting in accordance with the agreed timetable. Including but not limited to;

* Looking forward a minimum of 13 weeks and any unexpected variances in cash are investigated and explained / escalated as appropriate

* Analysis of actuals versus forecast, ensuring material variances are understood and explained

* Ensuring differences versus the corporate model are understood and communicated

* Group cashflow reporting to key internal and external stakeholders

* Experience of maintaining Fixed asset registers and an appreciation of the accounting required for assets under construction, tangible and intangible assets.
