Job Description
Robert Walters Group: Management Accountant – Permanent – £33,000 – £40,000 – Birmingham
A leading business in Birmingham have partnered with Robert Walters in their recruitment for a Management Accountant.
Key responsibilities:
Reconciliation of full entity balance sheet
Lead a clean-up of balance sheet ledgers
Monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet review and commentary
Performing detailed Balance Sheet reviews and interrogation
General ledger postings
Provide support for Internal and External Audit
Divisional reporting requirements (both Internal and External)
Identify and implement lean activities to streamline and simplify processes
Review and update internal procedures and best practice guides
Support deployment of new business processes and systems
Ad hoc tasks as required
The successful candidate should have the following:
AAT or equivalent qualified
CIMA (or similar) part qualified is desirable, but not essential
Prior experience of Management Accounting and tight month-end deadlines
Accounts Payable knowledge regarding invoice processing, POs and GRNI
Confident and proactive
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills, and ability to understand and interrogate data
Ability to self-manage and prioritise work, but also to engage with others
Proven commitment to achieving deadlines
