A fantastic opportunity to join a multi-boutique investment firm based in St. James’s.
You’ll join a small enterprise with less than 30 people. The business is backed by an Australian parent company who specialise in fund management.
Current AuM is valued at £1.8 billion.
The Role – Junior Operations Analyst
The business is continuing to evolve and we are looking for an Ops Analyst to join their centralised team. You’ll join a small, agile environment and support their x4 boutiques with a primary focus on trade settlements and reconciliations.
You’ll be given significant autonomy and have the chance to learn/develop alongside senior stakeholders. You’ll also join a collaborative, supportive environment that offers excellent exposure to all core areas within operations.
We’re looking someone with ambition, drive and a hunger to develop in a fast-growing business. Buy or sell-side experience is also fine.
Responsibilities:
* Book trades into the internal systems, custodian platforms and monitor settlement cycles.
* Perform asset reconciliations including for physical stock holdings.
* Liaise with Brokers, Fund Accountants and Custodians to investigate trade-related breaks.
* Confirm trade economics with Execution Brokers.
* Resolve booking errors with Execution Brokers.
* Monitor trade settlement of equity and fixed income transactions.
* Manage trading blotter activity throughout the day.
* Investigate failing trades and monitor late matching and settlement penalties.
* Manage T+1 reconciliations for all portfolios including trade activity, positions, cash, cash balances, dividend income, P&L, Market Value and NAV.
* Resolution of data integrity issues.
* Maintain accurate custodian standard settlement instructions in ALERT.
* Monitor P&L & investigate discrepancies.
* Assist with the shadow NAV process liaising directly with relevant Fund Administrators.
* Contribute to EMIR delegated reporting process.
What experience we're looking for:
* Minimum of 1-2 years of commercial experience in financial services.
* A keen interest in investment banking, trading, operations and wealth management.
* Preferably knowledge of Fixed Income and Equities.
* Experience in trade bookings, reconciliations and assisting with corporate actions.
* Strong attention to detail, an analytical mindset and interpersonal skills.
* Passion, drive and a desire to learn.
