Junior Management Accountant

Hemel Hempstead

£22,000 – £28,000p/a

Think Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be working with a local client in Hemel Hempstead in helping them sourcing for a Junior Management Accountant. We are looking for someone to support the Management Accountant and to effectively and efficiently administer assigned aspects of the general ledger and associated requirements, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, control, and achieving deadlines.

You will ideally have a minimum of 1 years experience in a Finance position, either as an Accounts Assistant or Finance Administrator

Responsibilities;

Preparation of monthly management accounts and providing analysis and explanations to budget holders.
Preparation and input of journals and to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained of all transactions entered
Responsible for fixed asset registry and accounting
To support and maintain all internal controls and procedures within the business
To ensure balance sheet reconciliations for all assigned account areas are prepared on a monthly basis, with identified reconciling items resolved within a reasonable timeframe
Support statutory accounts preparation.
To establish and maintain an adequate document filing approach as would satisfy the needs of the External Auditors and support audit activities
To ensure that all government legislation and legal requirements are met at all times
Recommend areas for improvement in processes, controls and reporting
