Job Description
Management Accountant, Northumberland
Our client is looking for an Management Accountant to join their small but busy Team based in Newcastle. We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible for this leading manufacturer.
The ideal candidate will be process-driven and have experience in a similar environment preferably. This would be an ideal role for an Assistant Accountant who is looking for more exposure for them to learn and develop.
Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts and be able to provide commentary on variances
* Produce and manage balance sheets and balance sheet reconciliations
* Calculate and post accruals & prepayments
* Accounting for fixed assets in the business including depreciation
* Complete intercompany reconciliations and agree them with group companies
* Coordinate with and prepare reports for Financial Controller and management
* Complete bank reconciliations and manage day to day cashflow
* Carry out stock valuations and provide reconciliations on a monthly basis as part of the management account process
* Work with the US based wider business team to monitor and control stock balances
* Support and help the manufacturing team in costing of products including calculation of overhead and labour recovery rates
* Completion of monthly sales reporting
* Provide regular analysis of movement in gross profit across customer and product line,
* Respond to enquiries from the MD of the USA business providing analysis of results/costs etc as required
* Work on profit & margin improvement plans with the wider business
* Support FC in annual budgeting process
* Coordinate with auditors to allow completion of their work in line with group instructions
* Liaise with Accounts Payable and Credit Control to resolve any issues around suppliers or customers

Full time hours
Hybrid role (Once fully trained)
Early finish on a Friday
£30,000+ dependant on experience
