Job Description
Cedar are currently looking for a Junior/Graduate Commercial Analyst to join an industry leading media company based in the City on a permanent basis!
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum + full study support
Location: The City, London
Reporting into: Senior Commercial Analyst
Purpose of the Role
To assist the Finance team in completing forecasts and budgets, acquisition process, month end financial reporting requirements and various other commercial and strategic support.
Responsibilities include:
Assist in budgeting and forecasting on a quarterly basis to enable financials to be consolidated into the group P&L for reporting to the US.
Work with other areas of the business (e.g. editorial, sales, production and marketing) to gain relevant information to help compile budget and forecast.
Input/update budget/forecast in the system.
Assist in month end analysis of actual performance against forecast and budget
Assist in preparation of reports for monthly executive meetings
Produce daily sales reports that track actual performance against forecast and budget
Review royalties on a quarterly basis
Prepare any additional ad hoc analysis as requested by management
Skills and Experience:
Degree 2.1 (or equivalent) or over with a strong academic background
Minimum of 3 months accounting and finance experience in a professional environment
Numerate and strong in detail
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail
