Job Description
A leading FMCG manufacturer is currently seeking a Management Accountant to support the factory & logistics operation at their 24/7 plant in the Northwich area. The Operations Management Accountant will be responsible for providing robust financial information and guidance to key stakeholders to inform the decision-making process and assist delivery of business revenue and profit targets.
The successful Operations Management Accountant will ideally have previous FMCG Manufacturing experience in a similar position with the ability to challenge and influence the business around financial decision-making. Ideally, you will be a fully qualified accountant, although part qualified and qualified by experience candidates will also be considered. Experience in working closely with and influencing non finance managers is essential.
Responsibilities include:
Production of accurate weekly operations & manufacturing performance reports
Supporting the Operations Financial Controller in the understanding and investigation of variances vs standard costs
Maintaining/improving distribution volume and costs model
Business partnering the Head of Logistics and continuously challenging/supporting initiatives
Meeting all reporting deadlines and ensure the highest standards of data integrity are maintained
Business partnering the procurement function to improve price variance reporting·
Attend the daily/weekly operations meetings to support the operations teams with the review of operational performance and impact on financial result
Working cross-functionally to prepare forecasts on a monthly basis
Providing financial support to the NPD costing process
Supporting the year end stock audit
Supporting the Operations Financial Controller in the delivery of projects for the business
This is Monday to Friday role; hybrid working arrangements with 1-2 days a week required in the office.
