Junior Investment Analyst, London

Our client is looking to hire a Junior Investment Analyst to support their ever growing investment team based in Central London. Ideally you will have completed an internship elsewhere and have some level of industry exposure.

The role will offer someone exposure to the origination, underwriting, execution and portfolio management stages of the investment process in a rapidly growing alternative credit firm, with high levels of responsibility from day 1.

Responsibilities:
Building and maintaining tailored spreadsheets and other analytical tools to be employed across different phases of the investment process, with a focus on pricing and portfolio/risk management.
Taking part in the analysis and execution of new investments, supporting the team with the modelling of new transactions.
Evaluating corporate issuers' credit profile with the ultimate objective of assessing their default risk, and estimating the recovery value of their loan obligations.
Monitoring performance of existing exposures providing prompt alerts to the Investment Team.
Monitoring macroeconomic indicators and key market indicators on an on-going basis in order to identify external factors with a potential impact on credit obligations referenced within the portfolio.

Requirements:
Degree level educated.
Either completed or working towards CFA, or similar qualifications would be highly beneficial, however, not
mandatory.
A strong interest in asset management and private debt, with an inquisitive attitude.
Sound understanding of financial markets and corporate credit gained either through coursework or previous work experience.
Highly detail-orientated.
Strong Excel skills, with an ability to think analytically with regards to how data is presented.
