Job Description
New Job | Interim Head of Finance – 3 to 6 months – c£600 – £650 per day (inside IR35) – East Midlands Airport

Morson are proud to be partnering with East Midlands Airport looking for an Interim Head of Finance to join the business for a period of up to 6 months.

The role will be based at East Midlands Airport, but with flexible hybrid working.

Reporting to the Finance Director and working within the EMA finance team your role will be to co-ordinate, consolidate and interpret the EMA P&L, ensuring a holistic picture of;

Monthly performance,
Short and medium term forecasting, and
Medium and long term business planning.
This role will represent EMA within wider group and Finance forums.

You will provide finance business partnering support to the East Midlands Airport Senior Leadership Team, building key relationships with their teams whilst providing decision making support through first class financial information reporting, analysis and recommendations whilst maintaining a strong system of financial controls.

Key responsibilities of the Interim Head of Finance:

Supporting month end process including cost centre reviews with airport management, month end report production, SAP interrogation
Project support and modelling, including preparation of annual fees and charges presentation documents and materials
Aged debtor and ad hoc billing process analysis
Business Partnering of EMA management team and ad hoc query resolution
Support the development and delivery of the EMA budget. Supporting in year forecast and 5 year budget production and review with airport management team, loading into SAP, production of presentation materials
Provide strong financial review together with effective support for business development initiatives and supporting business cases (e.g. commercial opportunities, insourcing / outsourcing decisions, infrastructure investment opportunities), ensuring there are clear, financially robust evaluations which achieve EMA financial targets.
Proactively investigate spend trends to assist in providing “early warnings” to the business and senior management.
Assist stakeholders with understanding the financial implications of all business decisions through the production of ad hoc analysis, modelling and ongoing tracking of business performance.
Support long term investment decisions and business case development, particularly EMA-TP, to ensure we maximise revenue / EBITDA, supported by scenario analysis / impact assessment
FP&A – Responsible for business planning, quarterly and rolling forecasting and monthly performance review processes for the full EMA P&L.
Knowledge, experience and skills:

Qualified accountant with good experience in corporate business partnering environment
Must be able to ‘hit the ground running’ an experienced contractor / interim who is hands-on whilst partnering with senior stakeholders
SAP experience preferable along with advanced Excel skills

A strong communicator able to interface with various stakeholders throughout the organisation
Location: East Midlands Airport / Flexible hybrid working (this is not a fully remote job)

Day rate: c£600-£650 per day inside IR35

Duration: Expected to last up to 6 months
