Our client have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join their Mortgage Department as Head of Mortgage Operations. This is a unique opportunity to join an industry-leading finance brokerage. As Head of Mortgage Operations, your main responsibilities will be:
Market analysis and sizing for growth opportunities, translating this into business case(s), modelling, and recommending growth strategies and plans for the business
Design and implementation of a 'fit for purpose' Organisational Design for the business to underpin growth, including design and implementation of appropriate reward packages – including bonus schemes, working environment, front line sales & service & 'support' roles within the business
Ensuring lean practices are in place to deliver YoY operating and cost efficiencies, whilst driving significant income growth to improve the business's EBITDA & Cost Income Ratio
Lead the scale up of the business, covering all aspects including recruitment and training, design and delivery of an IT & InfoSec roadmap, and potentially selection and equipping of premises
Ongoing budget modelling reflecting ever-changing market conditions across the First Charge Mortgage landscape
Creation of a business-wide data strategy to support decision making and reporting
Establish strong relationships with all stakeholders at all levels across partner organisations
Establishing and maintaining a positive profile across the FS/Mortgage Industry
Work with MAB and Freedom Services' Risk & Compliance teams to ensure specific F365 risks have been identified and included in F365 risk register etc, and ensure effective management and mitigation of all risks within a strong risk culture across the business
Manage, develop, coach, and motivate Team Managers and mortgage advisers to ensure they and their teams achieve their goals and ensure that appropriate objectives and development plans, in line with business needs, are in place
Use your specific mortgage industry knowledge to support the mortgage advisers both in relation to mortgage sales and compliance aspects of the industry
Ensure MAB (Mortgage Advice Bureau) and internal KPIs are met for the business as a whole, including adviser conversion and third-party agreements
What skills do you need?
CeMAP 1,2 & 3 qualified
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Knowledge of Mortgage Lending and Advising
An approachable, effective leader that actively enjoys managing people and achieving goals through people
An effective leader who promotes good team working
Drive, determination, and resilience to meet targets and succeed
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate up
