Job Description

My client has experienced substantial growth and continues to be a market leader in the ground source heat pump sector. With highly anticipated exponential growth in the immediate near-future, this is a great opportunity for an individual who's looking to join a growing-business that's also delivering alternative solutions to our current dependency on fossil fuels.

Salary: £35,000 – £38,000

The Role:

The Head of Accounts plays an essential role, bringing together financial and non-financial information to paint a complete picture of the businesses. Managing a small team, you will help prepare the management accounts up to trial balance level, with a focus on project based activities. Your input and analysis will allow senior management to use financial information to inform/conduct business strategy as well as contributing to decision-making these will ensure business growth and long-term success.

Experience:

Experience in Management Accountant role
Fully conversant in double entry bookkeeping and acrruals and prepayments.
Experience in managing a small team is desirable.Role Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly management accounts to trial balance level
Ensure all control account balances are reconciled monthly
Produce basic overhead accruals and prepayments for all entities
Oversea sign off and submission of monthly VAT Return
Produce monthly contracting project analysis
Analyse project expenditure
Assist in year end audit and annual stock verification
Sign off payment runs using internet banking software
Oversee monthly credit card analysisEducation:

Degree level with recognised Accounting qualification such as AAT is preferred although outstanding candidates with QBE will be considered.Hybrid working role or office-based if preferred.

Role reports directly to Financial Controller.
