Job Description
Axon Moore are supporting a successful, entrepreneurial group of businesses in Leeds in the appointment of a Group Finance Director.

The business has interests in a number of sectors and has ambitious plans for growth. They require a Group Finance Director who can play a broad role in the business that extends well beyond the finance function.

This role would suit a Group Finance Director who is seeking a role within an SME organisation which has a broad area of responsibility.

Key aspects of the role will include:

–        Leading the finance function and being a valued member of the senior leadership team
–        Working with the owners and the board on strategic investments and growth opportunities
–        Appraise commercial agreements with key suppliers and partners
–        Take on wider back-office responsibility for legal and HR matters
–        Ensure all statutory and regulatory requirements are met
–        Revamp the monthly management accounts process

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following skills and experience:

–        Qualified Finance leader with experience as a Finance Director
–        Ideally some experience within an entrepreneurial / owner managed business with a Group structure
–        Experience managing non-financial functions (i.e. IT, HR, Legal etc)
–        Strong blend of technical accounting skills and leadership / gravitas to influence at board level
