Job Description
Jark Bradford Ltd Commercial Recruitment Division are currently recruiting on behalf of our client looking for a Group Accountant (Financial Accounting) to work in Bradford city centre

The main purpose of the role is to contribute to preparing Year End Accounts within the context of a Local Authority including preparing working papers and liaising with external auditors.

As a part of our clients Group Accountant cohort you will assist finance in exercising its control and support function whilst being responsible for the provision of a management accounting service to the functions they support.

The roles we are seeking to recruit to will require strong budgeting, monitoring and communication skills.
This post provides a full range of financial support to service departments, to ensure the delivery of accurate financial information which meets manager’s needs and that facilitates the operation of our client’s financial cycle and links with the Council’s performance management systems.

It is essential that you have at least 5 years’ experience working in a financial environment, at a senior level, in a complex organisation.

Prior experience of either staff supervision or management is a requirement of this position. Although being CCAB qualified (or equivalent), is not an essential requirement of the post you would need to have as a minimum an AAT qualification or equivalent, along with a strong track record of success in managing relationships, demonstrating resilience and providing excellent financial advice.

This is a temporary ongoing position with an opportunity of applying for a permanent position for the right candidate

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm = 37 hours per week

Pay Rate: £21.19 – £22.18 per hour
