Job Description
Location: Peterborough, PE3
Salary: 40,000 per annum
Hours: Mon to Fri – 08:30 – 16:30

Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of our client who is a manufacturing company looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join the team.

You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the UK operational finances.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual who can manage their own workload effectively and respond to competing demands. You will have excellent communication skills and the confidence and capability to make a positive difference within the business.

Responsibilities:

Manage & oversee the company’s accounts including processing purchase invoices and payments; bank reconciliation; sales invoices and receipts; credit control; VAT returns; year end
Evaluating and managing risk, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue
Run and manage payroll, including weekly and monthly pay runs, payments to HMRC.
Coordinating auditing processes and ensuring accuracy of financial information.
Working closely with the director to ensure all relevant duties are carried out.
Processing international payments with overseas currencies.
Reconciliation of purchase orders/delivery notes/ invoices to ensure correct goods are received and correct pricing applied. 
Essential Skills and Experience:

Experience of accounts at a high level
Skills and experience using accounts & payroll software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage own workload effectively and proactively
Ability to adapt to competing demands and meet deadlines
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
