What will you be doing?
This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant to really expand their skills by working as part of a cross discipline team (financial and management accounting). The role and team is very visible within the business (dealing with senior stakeholders) and allows the individual to make their mark.
You will be responsible for aspects of financial and management accounting reporting processes that are undertaken at the Finance Shared Service Centre. This includes:
● Budgets/Forecasts
● Monthly Management Accounts
● Statutory Accounting
● Facilitation of Audits
● Group Reporting to Paris for Central Entities
In a cross-trained team, the role holder will be involved in the above areas to varying degrees.
The responsibilities include:
getting hands on with the local audits and preparing the Workday to Stats reconciliation file
being accountable for tracking the SSC audit and responsible for its on time delivery
being responsible for producing Vector packs and performing intercompany reconciliations
being accountable for reviewing Corporation Taxpacks
being responsible for preparing Working Capital analysis
being responsible for Business Partnering and producing quality budgets/forecasts
preparing monthly Management Accounts
preparing Balance Sheet Reconciliations
adhering to and completing a month end checklist
posting manual journals
preparing P&L and BS analytical reviews
looking to find and implement process improvements
being responsible for reconciling and posting the relevant journals for central provisions
assisting with other ad hoc tasks in the team
The role holder will be involved in all of the above to varying degrees.
What are we looking for?
Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA Accountant
Good working knowledge of spreadsheets
Comfortable with manipulating and reporting on large volumes of data efficiently
Demonstrate strong communication skills with all levels of stakeholders
Must be committed to delivering within set deadlines
Must have an inquiring and analytical mind, and be able to demonstrate good attention to detail
