Job Description
Finance Manager (Part Time) | Leicestershire | Remote Working | Salary up to £45,000 FTE

Cherry are delighted to be working this role exclusively on behalf of a very interesting client, the likes of which you probably haven’t considered before !

The Role

This is a newly created position due to growth and a also a desire to outsource less finance and accounting activity. You will report into the owners with a dotted line into a Non-Exec Director who will be available for support and guidance. As such the role has a defined yet flexible remit that grow with you dependant on your level of experience etc. You will be the only 'accountant' in the organisation but there will be support internally and also outsourced accounting expertise when required. 
 
You will join a small yet supportive team who work as a cohesive unit to get the job done. There is very much a ‘family feel’ to the business and you need to be comfortable working within a small function. In return you will be given responsibility, trust and support.
 
Typical Duties will include:-

Preparation of monthly management reports
General Bookkeeping using XERO accounting software
Data Analysis
Prepare income statements, balance sheets and budgets
Measure Company’s financial performance against plan and identify any issues in advance
Complete VAT returns and maintain company ledgers, ensuring everything is in line with accounting standards and practices
Bank Reconciliations
Raising invoices
Ad-hoc projects on behalf of management to support growth of the organisation 
The Candidate
 
This particular role is highly flexible and open to candidates regardless of their qualification level. It is all about experience and you as an individual. The role is likely to be 3 days or 21 hours but there is a little flexibility based on individual circumstances. The company are flexible on how this looks but you must operate with a high degree of integrity, be trustworthy, strong attention to detail and the ability to manage the day to day whilst keeping an eye on the big picture.
 
Essential Requirements:-

Previous Accounts Experience up to Management Accounts level
Previous Month End exposure including preparing management accounts and undertaking analysis.
Experience of working in a small team / SME environment
Proactive approach to working and development
Highly organised 
This role is as flexible as you need it and although you can be office based you can also be based from anywhere you chose. Likely to be needed in Leicestershire once a week on average but this is not set in stone.
