Job Description
Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working with a leading manufacturing firm based in the Scunthorpe area as they look to expand their team with an experienced Finance Manager.
You will be expected to really care about your role and take ownership for your responsibilities as you'll be given plenty of autonomy and room to make it your own and put your stamp on it! The successful candidate will possess strong Excel skills as well as an analytical mind and be investigative by nature.
Duties & Responsibilities of the Finance Manager will include:
* Preparation of the monthly accounts to trial balance
* Inputting of journals and identifying anomalies
* Intercompany transactions and accounting
* Preparing and submission the company VAT return
* Production of the year end accounts
* Organisation of ad-hoc stock checks
* Identifying any stock / costing variances through the MRP system
* Margin analysis including weekly margin forecast
* Analysis and accounting for Cut and Sewn subcontract work
* Variance Analysis
* Agents Commission and Sales
* National Statistics submissions
* System and process improvements as identified
* Export commercial documents
* Various adhoc reporting
* Management of a team of 5 (AP, AR and Assistant Accountants)
