Job Description
A fantastic opportunity to join a luxury fashion retailer in this newly created position of Finance Manager following acquisition by Parabellum and plans for future growth. The suitable applicant will work very closely with the MD and take responsibility for the daily running of the Finance function.
Hervia are a UK based designer retailer selling top men & women's clothing. Brands include Y-3, Comme des Garcons and Rick Owens. Flagship store in Mayfair, London and central Manchester as well as an online presence.
Key responsibilities will include:
Management of the finance function
Implementing and monitoring processes and controls within core finance as well as operational controls for the purchasing, booking in/ out of stock and related financial reporting
Close working with the operational teams to facilitate and control dynamic decisions on pricing and discounts
Management of the monthly payroll process and reporting compliance
Production of monthly management accounts (PL/Balance sheet/Debtors/Creditors)on Xero
Forecasting of P&L and cash flow, together with active management of variances or other issues to identify early on any issues for the business to act on
Management of the various cash and banking systems and its integration into websites and other systems
Manage daily cashflow alongside rolling forecasts
Maintain purchase and sales ledgers
Statutory reporting alongside external accounts where required for financial and tax compliance
VAT/P11d returns – liaison/reporting with internal/outside parties as required
Involvement in legal and contractual plans liaising with the CFO and Parabellum General Counsel
The suitable applicant will ideally have the following skills and experience:
ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified / Qualified By Experience
Previous experience within a similar role dealing with stock systems is essential
Confident dealing with key stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
You must be computer literate with Intermediate Excel skills
You must be a self-starter, proactive, with the ability to work under pressure
The position is based in central Manchester but with a blend of home and office working and can offer flexibility in hours for the right person. A great opportunity to work in an SME business on a growth journey
