Assistant Finance Manager
£25K – £32K DOE
Northwich
Monday to Friday – 1 day WFH after probation.
Are you an enthusiastic and ambitious finance candidate or assistant finance manager, AAT or CIMA qualified and looking to take the next step in your career? Have you gained at least 2years experience working in a financial assistant role and would like to develop further?

As the new Assistant Finance Manager you be reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the production of management accounts. You will be given a great opportunity to progress within this role with plans for this position to accelerate the successful candidate to a Finance Manager role once developed.
Role and Responsibilities of Assistant Finance Manager
Assist preparation for management accounts and liaise with senior management
Analysis of operational performance
Assist with budgets and forecasts
Completing balance sheet reconciliation's
Fixed Assets recording
Comparison analysis on monthly MI reporting
Appling of accruals and prepayments
Small aspect of purchase/sales ledger
Possible payroll experience
Assist in month end reporting activities, including processing the general ledger transactions and adjustments
Support internal audits
Involvement in projects and continuous improvement in finance and controlling finances
Other ad hoc duties as is required in a hands-on varied role
Lead, support and advise the business stakeholders on financial processes
Requirements to be sucessful for the role of Assistant Finance Manager
Worked in a fast paced environment with high volumes.
At least 3 years’ experience or Graduate with Accountancy/Finance degree. Preferable
Able to deputise for the Finance manager and take ownership of the management accounts process in the coming months;
Team player
Excellent IT skills, including experience of xero and advanced Excel reporting, including pivot tables, and complex formulae
Good attention to detail required
Strong work ethic
Previous experience in a similar role. Preferable
Ability to work as a team member
Great communications skills to rely key information to other staff
Ideally you will be studying CIMA or AAT qualified or a recent graduate
