Finance and Business Analyst

Milton Keynes

£25k per annum plus share options, bonus, and life cover

This role could suit a part or qualified accountant who wants a slight variation to a standard accounts role or could be of interest to a recent graduate.

As a Finance and Business Analyst, you will be focussed on maximizing group revenues by ensuring to capture traffic for all live sites across multiple countries within the network and securing timely cash-inflow.

You will be working within the Group Finance team and assisting Country Managers with their business with detailed analysis to gain a deeper understanding of the factors that drive performance. You will develop, analyse, and maintain revenue reports for their local operating companies whilst using your insight and data analysis to improve billing operations and revenue reconciliation.

Responsibilities include:

* Monitor and track Site level KPI’s to identify areas where performance can be enhanced and make recommendations for improvement.

* Maintain direct contact with external Revenue Assurance and Business Intelligence teams to collect monthly billing data in a timely manner.

* Map and understand customer payment approval processes.

* Review and analyse data for revenue-impacting inconsistencies and liaise with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues.

* Analyse Revenue streams to identify ongoing improvement opportunities.

* Generate and issue monthly Billing Estimates to the Customers in each country.

* Work closely with Country Managers and the Operational team to understand and record the impact of technical issues, commercial activities, and commercial offerings (such as tariffs and promotions).

* Support stakeholders, Finance team and Country Managers with routine and ad hoc reports.

* Account Receivables reporting and tracking.

* Ensure monthly Revenue collection is within the agreed payment terms and in compliance with Company’s Credit Control Policy.

* Responsible for Credit Control escalation reporting when customer payments not received in time.

* Maintaining up to date Accounts Receivables ledgers in Xledger

Experience required:

* Advanced Excel knowledge including but not limited to VLOOKUPs, PIVOT TABLES and SUMIFS

* Previous experience of Xledger or another similar cloud-based accounting system preferable

* Analytical thinking and good research skills

* Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy

* Ability to take initiative and continuously challenge approaches

* Knowledge of data visualisation tools is a plus
