Credit Controller (12 Month FTC)

Manchester City Centre, M2

£25,000- £28,000

My client is a full services law firm with specific focuses (real estate, finance and construction to name but a few) across public and private sectors. They have been based in Manchester for over 40 years and pride themselves on close long-term links with organisations, businesses and communities across the North West.

A thrilling new role has arisen to join them, working as an experienced credit controller, working to provide quality and efficient support in this role within their strong, existing finance team.

Job description for Administrator

* Pro-active chasing of clients (telephone, email and letter) to recover debts promptly and smoothly.

* The arrangement and attendance of monthly credit control meetings; reviewing AR lock-ups, outstanding debts and agreeing next steps in line with set targets.

* Maintaining accurate and detailed records to aid in chasing processes.

* Providing professional and educated information to both clients and colleagues in regards to ledgers and debts.

* Prompt and pro-active escalating of issues and queries – in turn enhancing client relationships.

* Complete debt write-offs and follow up on the logging of such.

* Producing and dispatching of departmental and client record when necessary.

* Liaising and assisting colleagues and clients with queries and resolutions.

Job skills required for Administrator

* Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines.

* Work with and without supervision, with a strong sense of independence.

* Personable, yet professional communication skills, both oral and written.

* A supportive and active team member.

* Drive and enthusiasm, to work towards company (and personal) goals.

* Strong attention to detail with a methodical and logical approach.

* Strong IT skills and experience in credit control systems.

* Experience in a legal finance setting.

Applicants must have at least three years credit control, preferably in a law based setting.
