Job Description
Robert Walters Group: Credit Controller – Birmingham – £25,000 – £30,000 – 9-month FTC
An opportunity has arisen for a leading business in Birmingham in their recruitment of a Credit Controller on a 9-month FTC basis paying £25k – £30k dependent on experience. As the Credit Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining the Credit Control system with the management and collection of debt when necessary.
Key responsibilities of the Credit Controller:
* Maintain customer accounts on the accounting systems
* Manage Accounts to ensure debt is collected and chased in a timely manner
* Process the payment and allocating against remittances
* Deal with the allocation of remittances on the Sales Ledger and keeping comprehensive notes
* Record customer remittances, banking customer cheques and dealing with the allocation of payments on the accounting system(s) daily
* Assist in the printing and distribution of customer/client account statements, ensuring the timely settlement of invoices
* Handle incoming phone calls
About you as the Credit Controller:
* Experience of high volume of collections is essential
* Ability to prioritise and plan workload
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience in a similar role is essential
* Advanced Microsoft knowledge
