Job Description
I am currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager/Financial Controller to join a unique and diverse organisation based in Conwy. As number 1 in finance on site you reporting to the Business Manager and play an integral part in the day to day running of the organisation.

Duties:

Overall management of accounting activities for the organisation including accounts payable function, payroll function, monthly closing of accounts and preparation of reports in support of the financial statements
Preparation of monthly management accounts and management reports
Manage the preparation of the budgets of the business and various related entities
Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs and transferring funds including periodic re-forecasting throughout the year to ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational requirements
Manage capital budgeting process, based on constraint analysis and discounted cash flow analysis
Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
Prepare summary feedback of financial statements and variances to budget
Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
Assist with the compilation of information for the preparation of tax returns
Interacting at all levels with budget "owners" or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient and accurate month-end close and all internal management and financial information
Maintain banking relationships
Review all internal controls, policies and procedures, making recommendations for any changes and continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices

Qualifications and Experience:

Demonstrable experience in a previous similar role
Formal accounting qualifications including CIMA/ACCA/ACA/AAT will be considered or Qualified by Experience
