Job Description
Credit Controller
£26,000 – £28,000
Redditch
Full time – office based
Four Squared Recruitment are delighted to be working alongside a market leading, Redditch based IT company. Due to growth, we are recruiting for a new Credit controller.
Key responsibilities;
* Assisting in assessing prospective accounts and agreeing credit limit and trading terms
* Opening and closing accounts in line with agreed working policy
* Processing & allocation of payments to customer accounts
* Reconciliation of customer accounts
* Resolving queries by liaising with other internal departments, external contacts and interrogation of financial systems
* Ensure audit trail of communication
* Maintaining customer records, ensuring all customer details are current
* Assisting in assessing orders where over credit limit, placing accounts on hold using internal and external resources available
* Recover outstanding debt by telephone, email and letter
* Arrangement and negotiation of payment plans
* Issue invoices daily and monthly statements (or on request)
* Perform other ad-hoc duties within the Finance team, if necessary

* Excellent verbal & written communication skills, ensuring financial information is presented in a clear way
* Show good negotiation skills
* Be assertive but tactful
* Ability to remain calm under pressure when meeting tight deadlines
* Good attention to detail with excellent analytical skills to solve problems
* Demonstrate good team working skills
* Demonstrate the ability to make decisions
* Good time management skills
* Excellent numerical, Excel & Word skills
* Overall demonstrate flexibility when faced with change
