Senior Manager – Business & Contractual Risk

Our client is a global, fast-growing advisory firm.
Overview
As a Senior Manager you will help drive the growth and development of the Business and Contractual Risk team, with expertise in scoping engagements and managing teams to support clients in mitigating risk and optimising value from third party relationships. You will be responsible for a portfolio of engagements, driving quality and profitability, team development and great client experience. You will also be expected to identify and develop client opportunities.
Responsibilities

* Support the growth of the Business and Contractual Risk team, undertaking business development activity, as well as helping to build technical capabilities across the practice
* Oversee the operations of the Business and Contractual Risk team, such as monitoring financial performance, resourcing and training, pipeline of opportunities, key account engagement
* Take an active role in the evolution and delivery of our strategy to becoming leading advisers to clients across the contracting lifecycle, including contracts, business management, commercial audits, cost controls etc.
* Take ownership of team leadership and client engagements to deliver exceptional service and to build repeat business
* Build a personal network across the company and market to generate opportunities
* Work across the firm with a team mind set
* Invest in team members’ personal development as the practice expands, with a supportive and collaborative leadership style
* Help the advancement of digital capability and analytics in the delivery of contract related services
* Risk management in engagement, ensuring the team’s adherence to risk and quality requirements as well as engagement profitability
* Lead the development and communication of client and sector-specific offerings, proposals and methodology.
Role Requirements
*
* Professional finance or audit qualification – e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA
* Auditing background preferred, with experience of utilising auditing rigour and methodology in a commercial context
* Related certification in Contract Risk etc.
* Experience of working on across territories, across service line opportunities
* Experience of managing multiple projects to time, budget and quality within a matrix organisation
* Track record of delivering exceptional client outcomes and follow-on engagements
* Deep understanding of procurement, contract and commercial governance and related risks
* An understanding of cost reduction services, contract management reviews and commercial contract audits. Experience in negotiations and contract exit also preferred
