A new opportunity for a Trainee Finance Assistant to join a leading business based in Horsham.

Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller (FC) and in their absence to Finance Director (FD).
Working with Accounts Assistant and Purchasing to ensure accurate processing of supplier invoices.
Creating twice monthly Supplier Payment Run for authorisation by FC / FD.
Supporting the Accounts Assistant with reconciliation of supplier statements, processing supplier payments and issuing remittance advices.
Processing monthly expenses and assisting with entry of credit card transactions through Webex to Sage.
Assisting Finance and Accounts Assistants with entries in Sage; bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepayments and accruals and other journals, to produce a monthly trial balance.
Assisting with preparation of monthly reconciliations and schedules to support the trial balance.
Supporting the Finance and Accounts Assistants to achieve processing and reporting requirements for completion of month-end.Profile

May be studying towards an accountancy qualification (AAT)
Ideally some experience using MS Excel
Self motivated
Organised with an exceptional eye for detail
