A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an independent, established food manufacturing company that specialises in producing great-tasting and high-quality products.
About the Company Accountant job
The business is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their dynamic team who is self-motivated and confident with good verbal and written communication and organisation skills in a small yet busy office.
You will be a senior member of the team with key responsibilities across all financial matters of the business and review existing business processes and propose new procedures for ongoing improvements.
Key tasks:
* Weekly and monthly payroll, uploading to HMRC and Nest pensions. Managing clocking in reports for payroll production.
* Accounts preparation from ledgers through to trial balance and preparation of monthly Management Accounts.
* Preparing annual accounts ready for end-of-year audit.
* Cash management, reconciling bank accounts, paying supplier invoices, and dealing with petty cash.
* Managing confidential sales finance facility, uploading invoice schedules, drawing down funds to current accounts and preparing monthly reconciliations.
* Manage all Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger activities.
* Submitting quarterly VAT Returns.
* Using bespoke internal business LV Software – for all ledgers (Full training would be given).
* Managing stock on the internal LV system together with purchasing department, sales department, and warehouse (Full training would be given).
* Assisting with HR matters including issuing contracts, holidays, payroll queries or HR issues.
About You
* Solid financial/accounting professional track record with experience running the accounts of a company.
* Familiar with Accounting software such as SAGE including payroll.
* Ideally qualified or studying towards a recognised accountancy qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA
* A background working in an FMCG business, especially food or beverage manufacturing would be a benefit.
* Able to communicate confidently with business managers and external stakeholders.

The Company Accountant job is based in Leicester and is paying £30,000 – £35,000 according to your experience.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30 am – 5 pm
