Job Description
Optis Insurances Limited is a leading Irish insurance intermediary and now part of a wider insurance group which has ambitious plans to expand further in Ireland, the UK and across Europe. In support of this growth, Optis is currently recruiting for a number of permanent full-time positions to work in our fast paced Account Handling team. Full training will be provided and the candidate will be supported with Continuous Professional Development.

Main Purpose of the Job

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the renewal process for an existing book of commercial business for a portfolio of retail brokers. The role will involve close co-operation with internal Account Executives and a panel of underwriters to deliver a best-in-class client experience.

Key responsibilities

Ensure processes are in place to ensure the timely placement of renewal risks in compliance with Group and Regulatory requirements and procedures.
Liaise with internal and external underwriters to secure placement terms for policies as required.
Provide advice to client brokers in relation to the scope of cover and policy terms and conditions as appropriate.
Ensure accurate and timely provision of policy and supporting documentation to clients.
Maintenance of Client Technical files.
Accurate entry of policy and financial data into various broking software platforms.

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and manage client expectations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including a confident telephone manner.
Highly motivated and ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team.
Constructive and supportive working style.
Computer literate including MS Office and experience utilising other software systems.

Desirable Criteria

Previous experience in commercial lines insurance.
Experience of the insurance renewal process.
Knowledge of the London Market placement process.
