a team, that helps mortgage customers to overcome problems that have led to their accounts being in arrears. They deal with customers in an efficient and accurate manner via telephone, email and letter correspondence to service residential and early commercial mortgage arrears customers, complying with regulation and internal policy.

The role of Collections Advisor is really important. You will work within the Mortgage Collections Team and be responsible for collecting overdue amounts through effective case handling.

What would your day look like?

To professionally and effectively collect and recover arrears and manage cases in default, whilst adhering to all Collections policies and procedures
Supporting our vulnerable customers and providing an empathic approach to their sensitive and unique situations
Building a trusted relationship with our customers to review options of repayment
Be a team player within both the Collections team and the broader Mortgages team, supporting the business as a whole to deliver growth and other targets, whilst adhering at all times to the overall compliance policy framework within the business
Assessment and resolution of customer arrears, via telephone/email/letter and where appropriate, provide recommendation on longer-term recovery strategyWhat do we expect of you?

The ability to deliver an excellent customer service through all communication channels e.g. telephone, email, letters
To be able to demonstrate resilience when having challenging conversations
A mortgages background is essential, within collections would be preferred
A good team player with a track record of working within a dynamic team continuously looking for improvement
Experience of working within a regulated, banking or financial services environment is desirableWhat can you expect of us?
