Job Description
CMA Recruitment is currently recruiting for our client, a successful and well known organisation based in Basingstoke, Hampshire.  An experienced Assistant Management Accountant is required to join their fast paced finance function initially on a temporary basis.

Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, you will be in a varied position and you will play a crucial part in producing management accounts within this large and growing organisation.

What will the role involve?

Assist with the month end process, ensuring that all deadlines are met, and that accurate accruals, prepayments and other financial entries are complete.  Work closely with the rest of the management accounting team to prepare and submit month-end reports as required;
Assist with the completion of thorough and robust balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.  Help with the preparation of monthly balance sheet reporting;
Assist with the preparation of year end management accounts and with the preparation of the statutory financial statements and disclosures, where required;
Ad hoc variance reporting should also be prepared as required.
Suitable Candidate:

AAT (desirable);
Willing to study towards CIMA or ACCA;
Experience working within or with an accounting/ finance environment;
Good Microsoft Excel skills (formula/ ability to understand formulas)
Excellent attention to detail, communication and time management skills;
Strong numeracy and analytical skills with and inquisitive nature;
Critical eye for reporting and sense checking accuracy.
