Accounts Receivable Assistant Job in Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear
Job Description
Do you want a role that is more than finance?
Where you'll make a difference to people's lives?
Are you also a forward-thinker, looking for a role to progress your career further?
As accounts receivable assistant for this leading charity, you will be contributing to the support and wellbeing of thousands of service-users.
This role has also come about due to internal promotion, and this is a company that believes in developing their staff.
So much so, they are looking to develop your skills and promote you to team lead in two years' time.
In that time, you'll attend away days and team building activities to continually expand your skills.
You'll also get study support to complete your accounting qualification, with time off to study and full funding.
It's not only service-users who are cared for, this is a company that strives to look after the wellbeing of its staff as well.
You'll get hybrid working where you can work three days in the office and two days at home, or vice versa, whatever works for you.
As well as flexible start and finish times so you can fit your daily hours around your hobbies or personal commitments.
You'll also get a generous holiday allowance of 30 days plus bank holidays, with an additional two days for volunteer work.
What you'll do and what you'll need
You'll manage your own desk, there'll be no micro-managing here, and you'll assist the Accounts Receivable Lead with invoice processing, credit control procedures, and preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
As well as assisting with preparing management accounts, and gathering information and trend analysis to inform budget, forecasting and cashflow.
Willingness to help others is in your nature, and so you'll be happy to assist in other areas of the finance team as well.
You may have completed your AAT, or you may consider yourself qualified-by-experience, that's fine too.
Advanced Excel skills are desirable, but you will be able to use VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, and you will have keen attention to detail.
If you want to give something back and know that your role positively impacts people's lives, look no further.
